AND THE DRINK...
HOT MULLED SANGRIA
You’ll need
1 750 ml bottle sweet white wine
½ cup Calvados apple brandy
2 cups apple cider
2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
2 whole cloves
2 star anise fruits
2 sticks cinnamon
How to make it
Combine spices and wrap in a cheese cloth. Bring all other ingredients to a boil with spices, and reduce to a simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and steep for 30 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
BREWSKY SANGRIA
You’ll need
1 6 oz full-flavor lager (we like Brooklyn Lager), as light beers won’t stand up to the other ingredients
2 oz fresh lemon juice
2 oz pear puree (we like Funkin brand)
2 oz triple sec
How to make it
Mix all ingredients and stir slowly (so
as not to flatten the beer). Pour over ice in a pint glass half filled with ice. Garnish with fresh fruit.
